  • Description

    Our VIVA BAVARIA creation gets its name from the magnificent, bright and beautiful geraniums that can be admired on half-timbered houses in the Alps. Geraniums are the absolute stars among garden and balcony plants. Growing upright and hanging, in strong red and pink, the creation creates a full and cheerfully radiant balcony. The interesting incense with light green leaves and white edge gives this creation a special touch. Get the alpine country in your city, too! Although geraniums and frankincense are not poisonous to humans, most insects avoid the plants.

    Attention: the creation can be poisonous for small animals such as rabbits, hamsters or guinea pigs.

  • Our recommendation

    Although geraniums are very sensitive to cold, you can easily overwinter them indoors. To do this, use scissors to shorten all shoots to a few eyes and remove all leaves. Then carefully dig up the short, leafless stalks and shake off loose soil. You can then place several of the stalks in a pot and cover the roots with sand and soil. Alternatively, they can also be placed in plastic bags with some soil and tied over the root base. In any case, you can easily hibernate them at temperatures of 5 to 10°C. After the ice melts, the plants can be planted outside in their pots as usual with soil. You can also keep geraniums as a houseplant.
