Die richtige Pflege von Hortensien

Proper care of hydrangeas

Hydrangeas are beautiful plants with magnificent flowers. In order for them to grow well, you need to make sure they don't get too much sun. Too much sun can cause them to wilt and turn brown leaves. Too much rain is not good for them either.

Not too much sun: Hydrangeas don't like being in the sun all day. They feel most comfortable in partial shade. If they get too much sun, they will wilt. Then be sure to water them to keep them from drying out. Always keep the soil moist to keep them from wilting.

Brown leaves due to frost or too much sun: If it is very cold or the hydrangeas get too much sun, their leaves will develop brown spots. In frost, the plants can even freeze to death. To prevent this from happening, you should put the hydrangeas in sheltered places.

Protection from too much rain: While hydrangeas like moisture, too much rain is not good for them either. When it rains heavily, the water can damage their roots. The roots could then rot. If it rains too much, you can temporarily protect the hydrangeas, for example by covering them with our Rooftop + Cover set or moving them to a sheltered place.
